Family Guidance Meetings
Finding the right programs and services for your child's individual needs can be a challenging and confusing process.
That's why we provide all families with free guidance and support to assist in making decisions about what services are
the most appropriate for their child. At our family meeting, we will construct a Plan of Action for your child with a
recommendation
as to what program or services would benefit your child and help them
to reach their full potential.
Most importantly, you will have a new resource you can turn to whenever you need help; wherever your child
goes to school or therapy!
- You are welcome to bring your child to our Family Meeting.
- Please bring with you to the meeting any reports, evaluations, or IEPs you think will be helpful to share.
- We can discuss with you resources to assist in obtaining insurance reimbursement or financial assistance to help with the cost of your child's services.
*****In order to better assist you at the Family Meeting, we ask that you please complete a brief online form prior to scheduling an appointment. Clicking on the link below will take you to the form. Once you submit the form, it will link you directly to our online scheduling system.*****

Individual Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy is directed toward helping children develop the abilities necessary for the many "occupations" of childhood such as learning, self-care, play, and socialization. Individualized treatment is aimed at developing the underlying sensory and motor foundation necessary for skill development and goals are focused on the child's ability to function in the classroom, at home, and at play. Communication with family members, teachers, and paraprofessionals is emphasized for continuity with programming to facilitate progress.

Individual Behavioral Therapy
A child's behavior towards learning, daily life skills and transitioning are crucial for their developmental success. From our initial family meeting, we will determine which approach will be most successful with your child. Your child's Behavioral Therapist can provide Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Discrete Trial, or Natural Method. Our goals will be communicated and coordinated with your child's teachers and speech pathologists to ensure your child reaches their full potential.

**Classes may be reimbursed by your insurance company as Group Speech-Language Therapy.Infant Development Program--Regional Center Vendor
This program is designed to ensure each child’s overall development through fun and developmentally appropriate educational activities. Each child is provided with an individual therapy plan that integrates IFSP or IEP goals as well as the goals from the other therapies (OT, PT, developmental & behavioral therapy). These goals are then implemented into their daily, theme-based schedule of circle time, social time, snack time, art, music, gross motor, sensory and fine motor center time, and phonics. Each class has eight to nine children and maintains a 2:1 student to teacher ratio. The curriculum is planned by our speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, and preschool director and implements each child's specific developmental learning goals. Our speech-language pathologists work within the program each day and our occupational therapist attends 1-2 times per week with consultations from developmental therapists, behavioral therapists and physical therapists as needed. Parents are encouraged to attend a portion of the class each day to learn how to carry over the skills to the home setting. Verbal progress reports and suggestions are provided each day as well as monthly learning schedule and “at home tips.” Our goal is to teach your child their much needed developmental skills as well as build confidence and communication skills in a fun and nurturing environment.
