Imagine being a parent of a child who can not speak, make eye contact with others or even show
you simple expressions of love. As a parent, you don’t know where to turn or what to do.
The Bright Beginnings Event is the first of its kind autism early detection and workshop program
that will extend its reach to thousands of children and families in the Bay Area.

The inspiration for this very special event emerged from our own personal heartbreak. Since we opened
our home to help children with autism in 2000, we have seen far too many miss their critical window of opportunity
for early intervention.

In each child’s life, there were chances that slipped by and we knew we had to do more.
This event can help ensure that every child reaches their full potential. Together, we have the
support of the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation, California First Five Alameda County and KKIQ Radio,
to just name a few. Also, leading pediatricians, therapists and educators are banding together to
donate their services to ensure every child gets the help they need, as early as possible.

The success of this event depends on our ability to reach as many families as possible to make
a difference in children’s lives. We need your help!

Thank you for becoming part of our mission to bring out the extraordinary in every child...

Warm Regards,

Charlene and Mitch Sigman
